Meli tastes like a crisp, refreshing beer with a hint of sweetness and minimal bitterness. It doesn't quite fit into a typical beer style, and we've heard everything from pilsner, IPA, shandy, blonde ale, and even champagne to describe its taste!

We keep things simple and clean. Meli is made of water, organic quinoa, hops, and yeast.

Yes. Every single ingredient in Meli is naturally gluten free. We are legally classified as a gluten free beer, not a gluten reduced beer (which is a gluten-based beer that uses enzymes to neutralize gluten proteins).

Yes. We take extensive measures to store our ingredients safely, decontaminate all machinery prior to brewing, and test the beer for trace gluten both during processing and after canning to ensure that Meli is celiac safe.

While not necessary, Meli will taste best (and last even longer than its stated shelf life) if you keep it refrigerated.

Meli has a shelf life of 2 years from the canning date. While not required, we recommend keeping cans cold until you're ready to drink them.

To ensure we are compliant with federal and state laws, we work with LiquidRails to get Meli delivered to your door. When you buy beer from our site, you may be contacted by a representative from LiquidRails. They help us process your orders and get everything shipped out to you.

We can ship beer to 41 states. Unfortunately, if you live in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Michigan, Mississippi, South Dakota, Tennessee, or Utah, we can't get Meli to you... yet. We are also unable to ship to military bases or PO boxes.

We can ship merchandise to all 50 states.

We charge $5.99 per case (24 cans), $9.99 per 16-pack, and $14.99 per 8-pack. Shipping of non-beer merchandise is calculated based on weight and distance.

Depending on where you live, your order should arrive within 1 - 10 days.

Meli is an alcoholic product, so you must be 21+ to order. When your order is out for delivery, please ensure that you (or someone of legal drinking age) are available to receive the order, with a valid form of ID proving your age.

To ensure it's a smooth delivery, some of our customers ship to an office or doorman building, where there will be someone available to receive the package on their behalf.

Our shipping partners will attempt delivery 3 times. If no one 21+ was available to receive the package during any of those attempts, the package will be returned to our warehouse. To re-attempt delivery again, you may be charged additional shipping fees. If you're concerned that no one will be available to receive your order, please email service@getliquidrails.com as soon as possible.

Please email service@getliquidrails.com. Our shipments are insured, so any damage to your order can generally be resolved efficiently if you let us know about it upon receipt.

We want to be sure you're happy with your purchase. Within 30 days of receiving your order, email service@getliquidrails.com, and they'll be happy to help you. Your entire order must be unused, and you will be responsible for shipping the product back to us.

When we first started this business, we often referred to our goal as creating a “better beer.” When it came time to pick a name, we found the Latin word “melior” (which means “better”) and abbreviated it to Meli.

We use printed cans, which are easier to recycle than sticker labeled cans or shrink-wrapped cans, and PakTech 4-pack holders, made from 100% recycled plastic.

Beyond that, our love of quinoa is not only because it’s delicious and nutritious. It also requires about half the water that typical beer grains like barley need to grow.
